The Line Following Sensor is an infrared (IR) reflective sensor designed to detect lines and contrast differences on surfaces.
It works by emitting infrared light and measuring the reflected signal. Light surfaces reflect more IR light, while dark surfaces absorb it, allowing the sensor to distinguish between black and white lines with high reliability.
This module is perfect for building line following robots, smart cars, and automated guided vehicles (AGVs). With adjustable sensitivity and fast response time, it’s ideal for both beginner robotics projects and advanced competitions.
