MAX30102 Heart Rate & Blood Oxygen Sensor

The MAX30102 Heart Rate & Blood Oxygen Sensor is a compact optical sensor designed for measuring heart rate and blood oxygen related signals, making it a useful addition to wearable electronics, monitoring projects and educational applications.

The sensor combines red and infrared LEDs with a photodetector to detect changes in light absorption caused by blood flow, allowing compatible microcontrollers to process pulse and oxygen saturation related data.

Using an I2C interface with an additional interrupt pin, the MAX30102 can be easily integrated with Arduino and other compatible microcontrollers for real time sensor monitoring.
