DotMatrix 8x8 Display MAX7219
This display consists of 64 (8x8) dots, hence the name DotMatrix. This display gives you the option to connect in serial as many displays as you want and make a big horizontal one! You can control and light up whatever led, or led combinations you want on the matrix.
This display can be used in a lot of cool ways in your projects and also gives a retro look. Some examples are to make scrollable text, a simple pong game, any kind of game, display faces/emojis on your robot.
The MAX7219 chip makes it easier to control the dot matrix, by just using 3 digital pins of the Arduino board.
For making it easier to control the dot matrix, you need to download and install in your Arduino IDE the LedControl library.
